Ideally, newborn photos are taken within the first two weeks after birth. During this time, your baby still sleeps a good portion of the day and is used to being curled up in the womb. This makes those sweet, curled up poses easier to achieve. 

However, if your little one is older than 2 weeks, we can still schedule a session. I have photographed babies as old as 7 weeks that have done quite well. While your little one may be a little more alert, we will still capture some beautiful photos for your gallery.

I recommend scheduling your session as soon as you know you want to have pictures taken, as I only schedule 6-8 newborn sessions a month. 

To schedule your session, a signed contract and paid creative fee are required. 
 

Once your signed contract and creative fee are received, I will add your due date to my calendar to reserve your session. After your baby is born, we will pick a day and time for your session. 

I know that some babies come early and some come late, so I leave plenty of flexibility on my calendar to accommodate if needed.

I strongly recommend that you let me provide the props and outfits for your session, as I have spent a lot of time curating outfits and props designed specifically for professional newborn photography. Outfits purchased off Amazon are often too big for newborn babies, and therefore, do not photograph well. However, if you have a special outfit or blanket you would like to incorporate into your session, I am happy to do so. I do ask that you let me know prior to your session so that I can style a coordinating set.

Your creative fee will include a planning consultation where we will plan your custom session, professional hair + makeup for mom, I will provide all the props, wraps, blankets, headbands, and/ or bonnets needed for your baby and you will have access to my studio wardrobe for family photos.
